The Scent Ritual Guide

  • The Inaugural Burn: Your first light is the most important. Burn the candle until the wax has melted entirely across the surface to the edges of the glass. This creates a "memory pool" and prevents tunneling, ensuring you use every gram of wax.

  • The Precise Trim: Before every light, trim the cotton wick to exactly 5mm. This prevents the flame from smoking, eliminates "mushrooming," and keeps the glass from overheating.

  • The Environment: Place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts, open windows, or air conditioners. Drafts cause uneven burns and diminish the scent.

  • The Four-Hour Limit: To maintain the integrity of the fragrance oils, do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.

  • The Final Rest: Discontinue use when 1cm of wax remains at the bottom to protect the glass vessel.

  • The Activation Swirl: Before opening, gently swirl the bottle in a circular motion to perfectly blend the fragrance oils and the base.

  • The Stopper Release: Hold the bottle firmly on a flat surface. Grasp the stopper and twist it slowly in an anti-clockwise direction while applying a slight upward pressure until it "pops" out.

  • The Saturation: Insert the natural rattan reeds. Let them sit for
60 minutes, then carefully flip them so the "dry" ends are submerged. This "primes" the reeds to begin diffusing immediately.

  • The Placement Logic: Place your diffuser in a high-traffic area (hallways or near doorways). The natural movement of air helps carry the scent throughout the room.

  • The Weekly Flip: To refresh the intensity, flip your reeds once a week. This introduces fresh oil to the air.

  • The Intensity Control: For a subtle scent, use fewer reeds. For a commanding presence in larger spaces, use the full set.

  • The Cap Removal: Remove the protective cap by pulling it straight upward.

  • The Shake: Give the bottle a gentle shake to ensure the oils and base are perfectly homogenized.

  • The Vertical Spray: Aim the nozzle upward toward the center of the room. Two to three pumps are sufficient for a standard-sized space.

  • The Settlement: Allow the mist to settle for 60 seconds before entering the immediate spray zone to let the heart notes open up.

  • The Surface Check: Avoid spraying directly onto polished wood, leather, or electronics.

  • The Preparation: If your bottle features a trigger spray, ensure the safety lock is turned to the "Open" position.

  • The Distance: Hold the bottle roughly 30cm away from the fabric. Spray in a light, sweeping motion to ensure even distribution without saturating the fibers.

  • The Patch Test: On delicate fabrics like silk or lace, always perform a discreet patch test on an inside seam first.

  • The Sleep Ritual: Mist your pillows and duvet 10 minutes before bed. This allows the mist to dry, leaving behind only the calming fragrance.

  • The Refresh: Use between laundry days to revitalize curtains, rugs, and throw pillows.
